La Storia Cabernet Sauvignon BottleLa Storia Cabernet Sauvignon Label

La Storia Cabernet Sauvignon

La Storia Cab is wine worthy of aging, showing abundant varietal aromas and flavours of blueberry, blackberry and black licorice, with a hint of herbs and ripe olives. The predominately French oak aging contributes aromas of cinnamon, vanilla, cocoa dust and slight smokiness. The mouth feel is fresh and juicy with balanced acidity and very soft tannins for a young wine. Due to the relatively lower sugar at harvest the alcohol content is modest and the acidity is relatively high and that will extend the longevity of this wine. Drink now or age for 4-7 years.

It’s hard to find great Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa, or Sonoma for a reasonable price. But here is a Sonoma producer’s best Cabernet, from a great vintage for under $30! Trentadue’s Cabernet Sauvignon “La Storia” comes from Sonoma’s Alexander Valley, and from the absolutely stunning 2012 vintage. The wine is loaded with blueberry and blackberry flavours, along with hints of sage, milk chocolate and toasty oak. Perfect with your favourite beef dish, and a great candidate for the cellar. Drink anytime over the next 5 years.
