Tinhorn Creek Vineyards 2017 Pinot Gris (Grigio)

Straw yellow colour and beautiful clarity. The nose is very youthful and jumps out with banana and papaya. Honey and lemon mingle with pear and honeydew melon. The palate is focused and precise, with more refreshing citrus-driven acidity than in 2016. Tropical fruit in the mid-palate and crisp lingering finish. This wine screams for shellfish.

Tinhorn Creek Vineyards 2017 Pinot Gris: 90 POINTS - Wine Align / Chacun Son Vin

"Fleshy and fruity, quite pleasant and inviting, dominated by white orchard fruit, pears, apples, and white peaches. Balanced. Good stuff. "

This is no boring Pinot Gris and if I had tasted this blind I would have guessed Alsace, not Okanagan Valley. It spent 2 weeks on the lees so it has a beautiful creamy texture with lots of fruit flavour, balanced with acidity.  Outstanding wine!
