Tenuta Di Capezzana Villa di Capezzana 2012 Carmignano D.O.C.G.

Deep ruby red. Elegant, with notes of black cherry and raspberry. It is well blended with the mature fruit. Soft mouth, enveloping, with soft tannins and good body. It has a high acidity, but is well balanced by rich tannins. Long finish, with an aftertaste that tends to the sweet licorice.

What a surprisingly great red. Thank you Vin Bin for opening our eyes to the vast array of wonderful Italian wines.

A wonderfully balanced wine. Acid, but soft tannins. Sour cherries combined with the smell of the earth. I'm sure this would cellar well, but am so glad we opened it!

Another Vin Bin winner.
