Wine Basics — Grape Varietals 101: Chenin Blanc
What is Sauvignon Blanc? Wine Varietal Facts – From Flavour to Grape Variety
Oaky and leather, pineapple on the nose as well as mineral. Complex tastes of tropical fruit, something floral, tobacco, oak, minera, toasted coconut and on the finish there is a slight asparagus flavour all rolled up into a wonderful tasting wine. Perfectly balanced acidity with a great finish. This is a stand alone or paired with dinner. We enjoyed it with grilled salmon skewers with garlic Dijon sauce and spring vegetable lasagna and it was wonderful and held up against all the strong flavours.
