Wine Basics — Grape Varietals 101: Chenin Blanc
Wine Basics — Grape Varietals 101: Grüner Veltliner
Wow! So smooth and silky you'd swear it was aged in French Oak or on it's lees! A very aromatic wine, with tons of apple, pear, Honeydew Melon and Raw Honey on the nose...and a hint of minerality and vanilla bean for interest. On the palate, you get the Bartlett pear and ripe green apple and melon, but also a slate/flint quality and that vanilla bean that suggests the neutral French Oak it spent time in! With a silky, long finish, it reminds us of the fantastic Vouvray wine out of the Loire! An exceptional reminder of just how great the classic Chenin Blanc grape can be!!
