Masi Tupungato Passo Doble 2012

Red wine with unusual aromatic richness, striking for its fruity intensity and light spiciness. This is a modern wine made in an unconventional style from grapes produced on the Masi Tupungato La Arboleda estate at Mendoza in Argentina. It gets its generous, strong and exuberant nature from the local Malbec grape, while Corvina Veronese, given a short Appassimento, gives it the typical attractiveness, elegance and friendliness of wine from the Veneto. Deep ruby red in colour. On the nose, ripe cherries and sweet spices. The palate is rich and intense, full of cherries and berry fruit. Good length and soft tannins. Very versatile: good with grilled or roast red meat, feathered game, and mature cheeses with strong flavours.

The Wine Blend Trend

Are wine blends a fleeting fancy or are blended wines here to stay?
Wine blends are all around us You could call it “Group Love” – or, more appropriately, “Grape Love.” If you look on the shelves of a liquor store or wine shop, it seems wines are a lot less monogamous when it comes to the grape varieties inside.
