Ripe fruits; blackcurrant and blackberry on the nose. Hints of pepper and buttery flavours. The finish is long but not overly complex with the pepper lingering the longest.

The Pinot Noir anomaly, the exception to the rule, and the gateway Pinot Noir.  This is not your prototypical Pinot.  For many Pinot is just not invigorating enough but Meiomi is a whole other beast.  In the glass it is near opaque and would never be confused to be a Pinot Noir? The palate is dense and full yet it dances with softness and nary a touch of bitter tannins.  Wine rarely comes as plump, fleshy and round as this one.  A dangerously easy drinking red wine. You will never look at Pinot Noir the same again.  An easy friend to casual fare and good conversation.
