McCall Wines 2009 Merlot

The first week of November, 2009, McCall Estate hand harvested its sustainably grown Merlot clones allowing the capture of soft tannins and jammy fruit intensity. The ten acre Merlot vineyard is uniquely situated atop strata of clay which is known to provide the best growing conditions for this varietal (as in Pomerol, France.) The 2009 Estate Merlot is a handcrafted limited production wine that melds concentration, balance, and complexity with distinct notes of blackberry, blueberry, and soft lingering tannins.
