La Forêt Bourgogne

About the Pinot Noir, born in Burgundy, Maison Joseph Drouhin created this wine like a perfume: with elegance and fruitiness in the Chalonnais, depth from the Cote d'Or. Within are red fruit aromas: raspberries, redcurrant and blackcurrants. There is a subtle spiciness in the mouthfeel, with delicate tannins and silky texture. An attractive and well-bred Pinot Noir.

At first, this pinot may seem a bit simple, but get your nose in there and there’s both finesse and complexity. Blackberries and raspberry with earth, dark chocolate and mulling spice lead on the nose and palate. The body is a little lighter than some pinots, but with good acid and tannin, it should work perfectly when you aren’t sure what to pour. CSPC +142406 $24
