La Crema 2012 Pinot Noir BottleLa Crema 2012 Pinot Noir Label

La Crema 2012 Pinot Noir

This outstanding vintage gave us a complex nose that offers up both savory and sweet tones; ripe plum and forest floor aromas are highlighted by notes of violet and cocoa powder. On the palate, pomegranate and blackberry take center stage, highlighted by notes of anise and mocha. The well-integrated acidity and ne-grained tannins create an elegantly structured wine. -Elizabeth Grat-Douglas, Winemaker

Pinot Noir is one of the most prized grapes in the world with a cult following of wine enthusiasts around the world.  But why?  What makes Pinot Noir so special?  It’s a fussy grape that takes a lot of love to flourish. It’s the Goldilocks of the grape world.  Not too hot, not too cold – you know the story!  So when a winery like La Crema gets it just right, you’re in for a treat.  The growing season in Monterey is long and cool, giving this wine elegance and structure.  Sweet and savoury flavours intertwine for complexity making this an easy recommendation no matter what you’re serving for dinner.
