Laurent Dufouleur Mercurey Chateau Mi-Pont 2015

A superb nose, well developed, expressing all the best of what Château Mi Pont will offer. In mouth, a very good attack on fruits, with a very good structure and well-rounded tannins. A long finish which makes this wine being a very strong reference of Burgundy wines.

All the earthiness and barnyard you want in an old world Pinot Noir and then some... Mix in intense red fruit aromas and I wanted to smell this wine for hours. The palate was equally complex, yet very approachable. Great acidity to carry through the soft, subtle tannins. Really long finish. Kept wanting to go back for more. A fine example of quality Burgundy.
