What is Pinot Noir? Wine Varietal Facts – From Flavour to Grape Variety
Wine Basics — Grape Varietals 101: Aglianico
Enjoyed this bottle on a snowy almost-spring day. The yummy taste follows a gorgeous boquet. So fantastic! A great sipper, elegant, sophiscated - but not pretenious.
A Great Pinot -- fruit-forward, and very fragrant.
Tasted a sharper (more tannins?) and the colour was deep/dark compared to other Pinots I've tried. Good flavour, quite acidic. Would have be great with food.
Cherry on the nose. Medium tannin content. Loved the long and sweet finish of this wine.
I'm not a big red wine drinker and as a result my less than experienced tastebuds may not be the best to go off so feel free to take everything I say with a grain of salt. That said, I actually quite enjoyed the Land's Edge. It was fruity but not overly sweet and not particularly dry which appealed to me. The verdict, I enjyoed it and would probably drink it again when I got the chance!
Really enjoyed the fruity aroumas and flavours of this.
Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Bright ruby. Pungent cherry and dark berry aromas are complicated by Indian spice and floral nuances. Broad and chewy in texture, offering sappy blackberry and cherry-cola flavors that provide impressive palate coverage. Gripping tannins build on the long, spicy finish, which leaves notes of bitter cherry and candied lavender behind." 92 Pts
