Icewine is the mystic historical wine. Invented by accident in Germany perfected by Hainle Vineyards Estate winery in Canada. Hainle Vineyards Estate Winery is North America's first producer of Icewine and holds a special place in Canada's history books. Protected by international law, Icewine is the only wine in the world which still has to be made traditional like in the mid 1800's in order to carry the name Icewine on the label. Icewine is also the rarest and most desired wine in the world. It is on average the most expensive wine sold in the world. Icewine is one of a view wines which will last over 100 years if stored proper. Because of this, Icewine is a great desired collectors wine. At international wine auctions Icewine archives many times prices higher than the rarest wines in the world surpassing wines from Bordeaux or Burgundy.
