This carries, in both scents and flavours, the distinctive profile of Syrah from the region known as “The Rocks” on the Oregon side of the Walla Walla Valley. Brambly berry and plum are soaked in savory elements—herbs and stems and earth and forest floor. It’s a veritable broth of a Syrah, powerful and beautifully stylized. Paul Gregutt

One of my favourites!  I have long been a proponent of Washington Syrah "The Funk" drinks like a Cote Rotie.  This is for the avid listener.  Do NOT open this wine after multiple glasses or at a gathering.  This beut is for quiet contemplative sipping and enjoyment.  It truely is Funky.  Not like Marky Mark this wine exudes coffee, olive tapenade, smoke and cured meat with decent acidity.  Now how do I get more? One of my absolute favourites!
