Fox Run Vineyards Semi-Dry Riesling

Lively aromas abound in this soft and rich Semi-dry Riesling. Complex flavours are enlivened by bursts of fresh lime. Loads of tree fruit aromas, along with guava lime zest, are found in this fragrant wine. The palate is perfectly balanced, with a soft yet zesty finish. The moderate sweetness makes this Riesling incredibly versatile. Lovers of rich, complex wines will find this wine highly cellar-worthy. This wine is, hands down, the most versatile wine to pair with food. We have yet to find a dish that is not enhanced by its sensual, mouth-filling flavours. Spicy foods, pork braises, Asian stir-fry and sizzled scallops all make dazzling matches.

A beautiful whiff of petrol, balanced with orange blossom and icing sugar. Give this one a few years in the cellar to evolve and open to pull out even more of that petrol aroma.  The palate is complex, but not complicated:  peaches, lime zest, mango, blossom, and tupelo honey to name a few. Full body, clean finish with forever-lingering fruit.  If I didn't know any better, I'd think this was quality German Riesling.  This is exactly the kind of wine that nerds like me want all wine lovers to embrace.  I'd say it's nearly impossible to find a more food-friendly and age-worthy wine at a price point like this.
