What is Pinot Noir? Wine Varietal Facts – From Flavour to Grape Variety
Wine Basics — Grape Varietals 101: Aglianico
I'm a big fan of everything Ex Nihilo does and their Pinot Noir is wonderful. Balanced earthiness with ripe red fruit. Not as acidic as I would expect for a cool climate Pinot (Ex Nihilo is north of Kelowna), which is nice, but it has just enough acidity to make it fresh and vibrant. No need to decant this one either - I love that - I hate waiting for my wine!
Absolutely my favorite wine! I would give it 10 stars if I could. Like liquid rubies in your mouth, it is a magnificent display of Okanagan Pinot Noir with ripe strawberries and a perfect cherry finish. The 2013 is my favorite vintage with '12 and '10 a close second. Highly recommended to everyone!
