Domaine Queylus Reserve du Domaine 2011 Cabernet Franc Merlot

Exclusively from our Beamsville vineyard, the Cabernet Franc brings to the blend its fruit, finesse and aroma with a touch of complexity while the Merlot contributes its suave, round and intense fruit. A fine wine of the terroir from a classic year, it can be enjoyed when it is young for its fruitiness or when it is aged for more complexity — whatever your palate may be. Sommelier’s comments: A very intense and sustained colouration. Strikingly aromatic with the presence of red fruit and light shades of pepper derived from the Cabernet Franc. This wine has a unique woody character with a pleasant tannic grip and purity to the taste. Pour into a carafe before serving.

Decanted about 45 minutes, enjoyed with lasgana.  Decent wine, but we wouldn't go out of our way to get more.
