Ghislain Kohut Vosne-Romanee 2012 BottleGhislain Kohut Vosne-Romanee 2012 Label

Ghislain Kohut Vosne-Romanee 2012

A vermilion wine with shades varying from pure ruby to black tulip and often sustained. A red flaming robe, sometimes reaching the garnet, pulling on the dark purple. The ripe fruit with a spicy background is the common bouquet, accompanied by strawberry and raspberry, blueberry and blackcurrant. The complexity of fine and refined aromas evolves with age towards cherry to brandy, confit, leather and fur, like the game-bag returning from hunting in the woods. On the palate, one finds the fullness of young Pinot Noir. A wine balancing richness and tannins, texture and architecture under an attack well removed. The background may appear austere in its youth: it must develop in bottle. Often full-bodied, like a nude of Rubens, voluptuous and emerging from its frame.
