I'm that crazy person that drinks Malbec on it's own, just because! So no surprise that I find this wine delightful!! The smoky minerality on the nose is a complete surprise and softens the often pungent black fruit, mocha and leather notes! The palate is a perfect compliment to the nose, with the bright acidity lifting the fruit and giving it a lovely, long savoury finish! Not sure what I'm having for supper yet, but just about anything meaty and rich will be a fantastic match!!

NOTE: I also got an Argentinean Malbec this month...might be fun to open it too and do a side by side comparison! Will keep you posted!! ;)
