Chateau Ferran 2011 Sauvignon Blanc blend

2011 was a great vintage for white Bordeaux. 2011 Ch. Ferran, a traditional Bordeaux blend of 60% Sauvignon Blanc and 40% Semillon, is very food friendly. Rich with notes of hazelnut, white figs and a citrus lift.

I'm not a white drinker but this is a great bottle.

Creamy with Hints of Vanilla and Lemon. Just great. Paired with Atlantic Cod.

Delicious. Crisp but still mellow. Loved the balance

This is a loveyl and crisp White Bordeaux blend from one of my favourite Bordeaux regions! Fresh notes of citrus, crisp apple, mineral and blossom on the nose are complimented by peach, steel, lemon curd and mineral on the palate.  The Lees ageing gives this wine a lovely mouthfeel and a slight, creamy texture, cutting the crisp acidity without making the wine heavy.  My pairing tonight...broiled chicken breast and spiced home made fries! Rustic, but delicious!!
