Calliope Wines 2013 Viognier

Seductive rich aromas entice with this 2013 vintage of Calliope Viognier which offers up a perfumed bouquet of orange blossom, ripe apricot, peach and cantaloupe with a hint of spice. It is rich and full bodied giving a creamy texture on the mid-palate which lends an unctuous mouthfeel and weight to the wine. Concentrated flavours of apricot, cantaloupe, honey and Seville orange fill the mouth finishing off with a touch of anise spice on the length. For pairing, try some of the richer seafoods such as lobster and King crab or a pepper crusted pork loin stuffed with apricot and fennel.

A beautiful bottle of viognier with abundant floral aromas, peach, tangerine, and pears all shining through. Great depth on the palate too, with a bitter edge to the finish, bringing balance. Pair with crab cakes, Vietnamese cuisine, or even a stir-fry. CSPC +176024 $21
