Barnett Vineyards 2015 Merlot

Many different wineries atop Spring Mountain maintain Merlot as a standard despite the ebbs and flows of this varietals fashion. The spring storm during the 2015 vintage that decimated the yields on the Cabernet did not affect the Merlot in the same way. We achieved two tons to the acre, an average atop the mountain on the volcanic soil. It is a big bold concentrated Merlot that proudly expresses Spring Mountain. All of our wines are made without enzyme, phenolic, colorant etc. additions. Our wines contain no more than grapes, minimal Sulphur dioxide and at times minute amounts of tartaric acid.
