Arrowleaf Cellars 2015 Vidal Icewine

Our first ever icewine was made in the warmest year ever recorded in the Okanagan. The summer heat was favorable for ripening the grapes but the warm winter made it a challenge to make icewine. Luckily, the temperature dipped below the required -8 Celsius in the early morning of November 26. We picked as many frozen grapes as we could before the morning sun warmed our vineyard (and our numb fingers and toes). This is a decadent dessert wine with caramel, honey and quince flavors. It is rich and concentrated with just enough acidity to provide freshness and elegance. Drink on its own or serve with equally rich desserts and cheeses.
