50th Parallel Estate 2016 Pinot Noir

The Pinot Noir Rosé is made exclusively from vineyard blocks grown for the purposes of producing this wonderful wine. Seasonal variances help us decide which blocks we use for this special social selection. The grapes are cultivated to focus ripe berries towards the lighter red fruit flavours like strawberries and cranberries. APPEARANCE: Bright, clear, summer sunset in a glass. AROMA: Pomegranate, wild cherry, ripe watermelon. PALATE: A lively mix of fresh young garden strawberries, guava and yellow bell pepper seamlessly combine for this perfect crowd pleaser. The long refreshing finish comes from the touch of silky Pinot skin tannin extracted from our long and slow ferment. THINK OF: Launching your new boat at the lake on a scorching hot summer day, while your friends heroically chant your name and eagerly wait to jump aboard. The perfect day for Pinot Noir Rose and the adventure that awaits.

What an outstanding rosé!  Every vintage is better than the last.  Although the 2015 is sold out as of September 2016 (even at the winery) I'm confident the next vintage will be just as spectacular.  Sheri-Lee and Curtis specialize in aromatic whites and Pinot Noir - they know exactly what their land will grow best and understand that great wine must start in the vineyard with the best grapes.  This Pinot Noir Rosé gives juicy, ripe strawberry, a hint of tart rhubarb and cranberry. Acidity is balanced with a soft, round texture and the finish lingers.  Be careful - you'll crush a bottle before you know it's gone!
