The “piedmont” here (meaning at the foot of the mountains) is Italy’s Piemonte area, home to the divine wines of Barolo and Barbaresco. There’s so much more variety as well, with the fascinating grapes Dolcetto, Barbera and the white Arneis also found in the foothills of the Italian Alps. We’ll give you a taste of the wines, along with a sampling of the famous Piemontese dish, Bagna Cauda, and lots of imagery to inspire you to enjoy these exquisitely crafted mountain wines.
