Piedmont is one of Italy’s most recognised wine regions, home to the noble red grape Nebbiolo which makes the famous Barolo and Barbaresco. Often described as "the Burgundy of Italy," it is the finesse and delicacy of the wines that would inspire a such a comparison. Small producers with small vineyards form a patchwork within a narrow area of Piemonte, which inspires a great deal of care and attention to detail to preserve the identity of the wine growing regions. As a result, the wines embody characteristics very specific to the area in which they're grown.

Wine educator Jenny Polack will present the course.
