The winery

Domodimonti is a boutique winery located in the picturesque countryside of Montefiore dell’Aso in the Region of Le Marche, Italy.  In 2003, while Francesco and his wife, Marisa, were in Italy, an opportunity came their way to purchase an abandoned “antique cantina” with over forty hectares of vineyards along with eight hectares of olive groves.  The idea of producing their own "Natural Wine" in the region where they grew up was to realize a dream.

Not satisfied with the "antique cantina", after 5 years of construction, Domodimonti's new state-of-the-art winery, was inaugurated in 2010. It is a testament to the continuous drive of producing Natural Wine.

Domodimonti’s ambition to make the highest quality Natural Wine does not only depend on quality grapes, fertile land, ample precipitation or plenty of sun; a highly qualified team is required. At Domodimonti, inspiration and guidance was also given by internationally renowned winemaker, Carlo Ferrini. Without the experienced and dedicated winegrowers, vineyard workers, winery staff, enologists and agronomists, Domodimonti would have never been able to achieve the original dream.

The Estate

The Domodimonti estate is located far from urban centers, where the air is pure and fresh. Hidden away somewhere amidst the coastal plains of the Adriatic Sea and the Sibillini Mountains lies the estate; it offers an ideal climate for sustainable agriculture, not to mention breathtaking views.

Its new state-of-the-art winery is designed to generate the least amount of visual and ecological disturbances on the local environment, while producing some of Le Marche's most desired wines. The winery was built into a valley so as to not disturb the naturally precious scenic beauty of the surrounding area. Additionally, solar panels, hidden from view, and the reuse of rain water allow Domodimonti to be partially dependent on renewable energy and resources.

It is a marriage between ecological sustainability, and the production of natural products, which defines the cornerstone of Domodimonti’s philosophy.

Our Philosophy

Domodimonti’s ambition to make the highest quality Natural Wine does not only depend on quality grapes, fertile land, ample precipitation or the abundance of sun; a highly qualified team is required. At Domodimonti, inspiration and guidance was given by the internationally renowned winemaker, Dott. Carlo Ferrini, who embraced Domodimonti’s cornerstone philosophy as his own: the concept of Natural Wine. His apprentice, Dott. Mirko Morbidoni scrutinizes, and evaluates every aspect of thewinery such that no detail goes overlooked. It is this passion, and dedication towards the naturalistic state of wine, which drives Domodimonti’s team to excel in developing new wine making techniques. It is these techniques which have put Domodimonti in a leadership position towards the development of high quality Natural Wine.
