Who We Are

Nestled in the in the Santa Lucia mountain Range lies Adelaida Vineyards & Winery. Located in the heart of the Adelaida District AVA, this majestic property has become an integral part of the Paso Robles wine region. For 35 years, Adelaida has made wines that respect their heritage and look to future.

Winemaking Philosophy

Adelaida is a truly special place. Our dramatic high elevation vineyards have multiple climates and soil types. Winemaker, Jeremy Weintraub does not impose a belief system on the vines rather approaches each with an understanding of how the grapes are growing to ultimately make the best wines.

Winemaker - Jeremy Weintraub

A winemaker with a diverse and far-reaching experience, Jeremy Weintraub became winemaker at Adelaida Vineyards & Winery in 2013. After achieving a B.A. from Clark University in Massachusetts, he studied at Fresno State and UC Davis, where he received an MS in viticulture and enology. At UC Davis, he earned scholarships from The Wine Spectator and the American Society of Viticulture and Enology. Weintraub held internships at Tenuta Tignagnello in Italy, in Central Otago and Martinborough, New Zealand, and at wineries and vineyards on Long Island, New York. He later became winemaker for Seavey Vineyard in Napa Valley, reaching critical and commercial success. He came to Paso Robles in 2012 consulting on winemaking projects including Adelaida and officially joined the team the following year.

Adelaida Vineyards & Winery’s mission is to produce world-class wines and set industry standards for excellence. Adelaida completed the necessary 82 prerequisites and is a Certified California Sustainable Winegrowing Winery & Vineyard (CCSW). Created by Wine Institute and the California Association of Winegrape Growers, the California Sustainable Winegrowing Alliance (CCSW) is a nonprofit organization that promotes the benefits of sustainable winegrowing practices, enlists wine industry commitment and assists in the implementation of the Sustainable Winegrowing Program. This third party verification is another testament to Adelaida’s philosophy of optimal economic, environmental and social performance.

Adelaida's Historic & Unique Vineyards

Adelaida's vineyards include seven distinct properties totaling 168 acres in the craggy mountainous terrain of Paso Robles' Adelaida District. Only 14 miles from the Pacific Ocean, these are steep and elevated sites (1400-2320 feet), characterized by chalk rock limestone soils, afternoon blasts of cool coastal air, and a daily microclimate that swings 40-50 degrees. With an emphasis in Rhônes, old vine pinot noir, dry farmed zinfandel, and mountain style cabernet sauvignon, our stressed vines produce low yields of precise flavor.
