Charbar sure knows how to put on a great event! The food was plentiful and truly amazing, the wines were great and the space was phenomenal. Co-chef/owners Connie Desousa and John Jackson, Executive Chef Jessica Pelland, and the rest of the charbar staff, including David Keall (@calgarywaiter) hosted a night to remember; if you're in Calgary, we definitely recommend you hit up charbar, you won't be disappointed.

Charbar Hosts Events
Beyond the impressive line-up of food and wine, the charbar space and staff were amazing. The space: Big, bold, and spacious...The staff: kind, friendly, and courteous. The event was originally supposed to be on the roof-top, but the dreary weather, brought us inside. Regardless of where we were, the space was able to accommodate approximately 80 people, and though it was a bit tight we were originally targeting around 50, so they handled it very well; and service wasn't compromised. Given a bit more notice, we're sure charbar could have accommodated an even larger crowd, as we were only using a section of the venue. All in all, it was an intimate and lively experience.
We'll stop gushing about charbar, but it truly an amazing night, and we look forward to our next visit at charbar.

Wines from the Evening:
Dos Fincas from Carlos Basso, a Cab-Malbec blend.
Expect jammy berry aromas backed by plump black berry and strawberry flavors. Solid and flush throughout with surprising softness. See the complete review and add your comments.
Reserva Chardonnay from Terrazas de los Andes, an oaked chardonnay.
Expect aromas and flavours of peach and apricot, freshly combined with delicate floral notes of jasmine; deep and well-rounded with an excellent balance due to the acidity and natural sweetness. See the full review and add your comments.
A large selection of food was served including the fugazza (a deep-crust, husky pizza with tones of flavour), beef cuts from the Argentinian-inspired fire pit as well as an overflowing raw bar and ceviche table.
