The Pinot Noir grape is one of the most underrated grapes out there.  It’s profile has a huge range of aromas and flavours, and it is incredibly food friendly.  Yet, it remains one of the most misunderstood grapes.  And can you blame people for not jumping to the Pinot Noir aisle at the grocery store, especially when common descriptors are “smells like a barnyard”, and “tastes like wet leaves”?  The beauty of Pinot Noir is its versatility and because of the relative difficulty in growing the grapes, the end quality of these wines is generally higher than your every day “red blend”.  Pinot Noir, you ARE a star!  In fact, here’s a poem, performed by Titus Andromedon on the Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt (seriously, Netflix this NOW), whose passion for the grape is second to none!
