Champagne Roots at Domaine Carneros
Domaine Carneros was founded by the noble French family behind Champagne Taittinger. This majestic California château is a lovely way to enjoy the Carneros Appellation California. This stunning, fairy-tale grand château was modelled after an 18th-century French mansion, Château de la Marquetterie in Champagne, France which is owned by Taittinger.
Carved into the hillside below the winery are exceptional sparkling wines reminiscent of those crafted by Taittinger, using estate grown Los Carneros grapes. The estate is located in the southern part of Napa Valley near the cooler climate of San Pablo Bay. There are 3 terraces from which you can enjoy breathtaking views while sipping extraordinary Sparkling and Pinot Noir wines.
There are plenty of tour and tasting options available if you elect to visit the winery. Daily tastings are available as well as elevated experiences including a sampling of wines paired with an array of small bites or the premium tasting with caviar. Take that experience further with a reservation in the Sparkling Suite and enjoy your wines with caviar, charcuterie and all the necessary accoutrements as well as a bottle of your favourite wine from the tasting.
Attend a special event at the winery or make reservations for a dining experience in the Louis XV–inspired salon or on the terrace overlooking the vineyards.
