E & J Gallo Winery Supports a USA Navy SEAL and his Mount Everest Climb
Showing their continuing support for those who defend the USA, E. & J. Gallo Winery has announced that promotions for its Liberty Creek products will help spread the word about Don Mann, retired U.S. Navy SEAL member of Team SIX, and his climb of Mount Everest. In May 2016, Mann will join a Mt. Everest expedition party and attempt to scale the world’s highest mountain to raise awareness of the challenges United States veterans face each and every day.
“After serving 21 years in the Navy, I have a very clear understanding of the many hardships and sacrifices that our military personnel, our veterans and their families make and live with on a daily basis,” said Don Mann, retired U.S. Navy SEAL member of Team SIX and founder & CEO of Frogman Charities. He added, “So many of these patriots require a lot more help than they receive. It is my sincere hope that this climb will help more people learn about those sacrifices and be motivated to make a difference in their lives.”
Liberty Creek Wines Honoured to Support a National Hero
“I first met Don a few years ago at a regional sales meeting for E. & J. Gallo Winery where he was the featured speaker,” said Marty Johnson, director of government sales for E. & J. Gallo Winery. “Don and I hit it off and after reading his book Inside Seal Team Six, I gained an even higher amount of respect for this hero. I knew we had to find a way to support this mission. Facing challenges and serving others is part of the American spirit. After talking with the team, there was no question in our minds about supporting Don in this mission. Liberty Creek Wines is honored to support a national hero in such a worthy cause that brings awareness to our U.S. veterans.”
Raising Public Awareness For Military Veterans and Their Families
After arriving in Kathmandu, Nepal, this April, Mann will spend nine weeks as a member of a 2016 Everest Expedition that is scheduled to summit between May 13-25, 2016. During his travels, Mann will be providing regular dispatches from Everest about his progress along with stories to raise public awareness of the needs of military veterans and their families. Posts will be available to the public at Frogman Charities, www.facebook.com/donmannnavyseal, @USFrogMann on Twitter.
