How to Play “Which Wine is Which?” Drinking Game

This is one of the simpler wine-related drinking games. The aim of “Which Wine is Which?” is to have your guests match the wine they’re tasting to a description. Cover up the labels of your wine bottles, do up a few descriptions and get to guessing! This is a great way to put your friends’ ‘Sommelier Status’ to the test!

How to Play Blind Taste Test

A self-explanatory game, hopefully. Blindfold your guests and have them taste a few different wines, asking what kind of wine it is, where the wine came from, what type of grapes were used or even the price of its bottle!

Wine Checkers Drinking Game

It’s checkers, but with wine.

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • 24 plastic shot glasses
  • A bottle of red wine
  • A bottle of white wine
  • A checkerboard

How to Play Wine Checkers

Same rules of checkers apply, except if you lose a piece – drink the wine. Also, you have to drink the wine out of your cup if you want to be “kinged”.

TV Show Drinking Game

Think of one show you and your friends watch weekly (the trashier the better). Make a list of rules with things that happen regularly, ones that you can sip your drink to.

Is it The Bachelorette, and Chris Harrison keeps saying that the current season is the most shocking yet? Drink to that. Or is this week’s Grey’s Anatomy, and Grey Sloan Memorial is the site of another freak accident? Take another sip of wine.

Drunken Artists Drinking Game

How to Play Drunken Artists

Perfect for a dinner party, this is basically wine infused Pictionary. As you go around the table, someone new is the timer for every turn – they also get to select the subject of the drawer’s attention. Once they start drawing, everyone will start yelling their guesses. After someone guesses the correct answer, the timer looks at how many seconds have passed. The artist has to take a drink for every 20 seconds that went by before someone solved the clue. Let’s say 1 minute and 20 seconds went by – the artist would have to take four gulps of their drink.

Wine-opoly Drinking Game

House Rules Drinking Game

How to Play House Rules Wine Drinking Game

When in doubt, set up some house rules for your guests once they arrive. Every half hour, you can announce a new rule. Maybe it’s the freeze game, where if you suddenly freeze, everyone at the party must also freeze. Last person to freeze finishes their glass of wine. Be creative, and make the rules more complicated as the night goes on.
